Beatriz checks into her hotel late at night. The clerk gives her a key card for room 214. She takes the elevator up to the second floor.
बीट्रिज़ देर रात अपने होटल में चेक-इन करती है। क्लर्क उसे कमरा 214 का की-कार्ड देता है। वह लिफ़्ट से दूसरी मंज़िल पर जाती है।
She finds room 214 and slides the card in. The light turns green, and she opens the door. A man's jacket lies on the bed inside.
उसे कमरा 214 मिल जाता है और वह कार्ड अंदर डालती है। बत्ती हरी हो जाती है और वह दरवाज़ा खोलती है। अंदर बिस्तर पर एक आदमी की जैकेट पड़ी है।
Beatriz stops and looks around the room. "This isn't my room," she says to herself.
बीट्रिज़ रुक जाती है और कमरे में चारों ओर देखती है। "यह मेरा कमरा नहीं है," वह ख़ुद से कहती है।
She quickly steps back into the hallway. Just then, a man walks up with a key card.
वह जल्दी से पीछे हटकर गलियारे में आ जाती है। तभी एक आदमी की-कार्ड लिए उसके पास आता है।
His name is Nolan. He holds a card for room 214 too.
उसका नाम नोलन है। उसके पास भी कमरा 214 का कार्ड है।
They both look down at their key cards. Both cards say room 214.
दोनों अपने की-कार्ड देखते हैं। दोनों कार्डों पर कमरा 214 लिखा है।
"The front desk made a mistake," Nolan says.
"फ़्रंट डेस्क से गलती हुई है," नोलन कहता है।
They walk down to the lobby together. The clerk checks the computer and gasps.
वे साथ-साथ नीचे लॉबी में जाते हैं। क्लर्क कंप्यूटर देखती है और चौंक जाती है।
"I gave the same room to two guests," she says.
"मैंने एक ही कमरा दो मेहमानों को दे दिया," वह कहती है।
She prints a new key card for Beatriz. "Room 308 is ready and empty," the clerk says. Beatriz thanks her and takes the new card.

Nolan laughs. "Strange first meeting," he says. "Very strange," Beatriz says, and smiles.

She heads up to her real room this time.
