Priya and Jasper are in the same class. The school dance is on Friday night. Priya likes Jasper, but she feels shy about it.
Priya y Jasper están en la misma clase. El baile de la escuela es el viernes por la noche. A Priya le gusta Jasper, pero se siente tímida al respecto.
Priya tells her friend Colin about her feelings. "Don't tell anyone," she says. Colin promises to keep the secret.
Priya le cuenta a su amigo Colin sobre sus sentimientos. «No le digas a nadie», dice ella. Colin promete guardar el secreto.
At lunch, Colin talks to Jasper by mistake. He wants to help Priya. "Priya likes someone," Colin says. "She's too shy to say who."
En el almuerzo, Colin habla con Jasper por error. Quiere ayudar a Priya. «A Priya le gusta alguien», dice Colin. «Es demasiado tímida para decir quién».
Jasper hears this and thinks Colin means someone else. He believes Priya likes a boy on the soccer team.

On Thursday, Jasper sees Priya at her locker. "Are you going to the dance with someone?" he asks quietly.

"No," Priya says. "I don't have a plan yet." She looks down at her books.
«No», dice Priya. «Todavía no tengo un plan». Ella mira sus libros hacia abajo.
"I heard you like a boy on the soccer team," Jasper says. Priya's face turns red. "What? No, that's not true!"
«Escuché que te gusta un chico del equipo de fútbol», dice Jasper. El rostro de Priya se pone rojo. «¿Qué? ¡No, eso no es cierto!»
"Then who do you like?" Jasper asks. Priya takes a deep breath. "I like you, Jasper," she says.
«Entonces, ¿a quién te gusta?», pregunta Jasper. Priya respira profundamente. «Me gustas tú, Jasper», dice ella.
Jasper smiles a big smile. "I like you too," he says. "Colin got it all wrong."
Jasper sonríe con una gran sonrisa. «A mí también me gustas tú», dice él. «Colin lo entendió todo mal».
They both laugh about the mix-up. "Do you want to go to the dance with me?" Jasper asks.
Ambos se ríen del malentendido. «¿Quieres ir al baile conmigo?», pregunta Jasper.
Priya nods and smiles. "Yes, I'd like that," she says. They walk to class together. They still laugh about Colin's mistake.
Priya asiente y sonríe. «Sí, me gustaría», dice ella. Caminan juntos a clase. Todavía se ríen del error de Colin.
