Both students studied hard the night before. They wanted a good grade on the test. Neither one wanted to be late.
Os dois estudantes estudaram muito na noite anterior. Eles queriam uma boa nota na prova. Nenhum dos dois queria se atrasar.
Farah checked the exam schedule on the wall. It listed Room 4 for her math test. She walked there at nine o'clock.
Farah conferiu o horário das provas no mural. Ele indicava a Sala 4 para a prova de matemática dela. Ela foi para lá às nove horas.
Dario checked the same list. He read Room 9 for the math test. He walked to Room 9 instead.

The school changed the room that morning. The new list hung by the office door. Farah did not see it.

Dario sat down in Room 9. He looked around the empty desks. Only three other students sat there.
Dario sentou na Sala 9. Ele olhou para as carteiras vazias ao redor. Só havia outros três alunos ali.
"This isn't the whole class," he said. He asked a teacher near the door.
"Essa não é a turma toda", ele disse. Ele perguntou a um professor perto da porta.
"The math exam moved to Room 4," the teacher said. "Room 9 is for a different test."
"A prova de matemática foi transferida para a Sala 4", o professor disse. "A Sala 9 é para outra prova."
Dario grabbed his bag and hurried down the hall. He found Farah outside Room 4.
Dario pegou a mochila e correu pelo corredor. Ele encontrou Farah do lado de fora da Sala 4.
"I got the old room number," she said. "I didn't check the new list."
"Eu peguei o número da sala antiga", ela disse. "Eu não conferi a lista nova."
"Me too," Dario said. "Let's go in together."
"Eu também", Dario disse. "Vamos entrar juntos."
The two friends walked in with two minutes left. They found seats side by side. They opened their test papers.
Os dois amigos entraram com dois minutos de sobra. Eles encontraram lugares lado a lado. Eles abriram as provas.
