Both students studied hard the night before. They wanted a good grade on the test. Neither one wanted to be late.
Ambos estudiantes estudiaron mucho la noche anterior. Querían una buena nota en el examen. Ninguno de los dos quería llegar tarde.
Farah checked the exam schedule on the wall. It listed Room 4 for her math test. She walked there at nine o'clock.
Farah revisó el horario de exámenes en la pared. Indicaba el Salón 4 para su examen de matemáticas. Caminó hasta allí a las nueve en punto.
Dario checked the same list. He read Room 9 for the math test. He walked to Room 9 instead.

The school changed the room that morning. The new list hung by the office door. Farah did not see it.
La escuela cambió el salón esa mañana. La nueva lista colgaba junto a la puerta de la oficina. Farah no la vio.
Dario sat down in Room 9. He looked around the empty desks. Only three other students sat there.
Dario se sentó en el Salón 9. Miró los pupitres vacíos a su alrededor. Solo había otros tres estudiantes allí.
"This isn't the whole class," he said. He asked a teacher near the door.
«Este no es todo el grupo», dijo. Le preguntó a una maestra cerca de la puerta.
"The math exam moved to Room 4," the teacher said. "Room 9 is for a different test."
«El examen de matemáticas se cambió al Salón 4», dijo la maestra. «El Salón 9 es para otro examen».
Dario grabbed his bag and hurried down the hall. He found Farah outside Room 4.
Dario tomó su mochila y se apresuró por el pasillo. Encontró a Farah afuera del Salón 4.
"I got the old room number," she said. "I didn't check the new list."
«Yo tenía el número de salón antiguo», dijo ella. «No revisé la lista nueva».
"Me too," Dario said. "Let's go in together."
«Yo también», dijo Dario. «Vamos a entrar juntos».
The two friends walked in with two minutes left. They found seats side by side. They opened their test papers.
Los dos amigos entraron con dos minutos de sobra. Encontraron asientos uno junto al otro. Abrieron sus exámenes.
