Finn's laptop does not turn on. It is early, before his first class. He tries the power button three times.
O notebook de Finn não liga. É cedo, antes da primeira aula dele. Ele aperta o botão de ligar três vezes.
He carries the laptop to a small repair shop. The shop is next to a bakery. A sign in the window reads "Fast Fixes."
Ele leva o notebook a uma pequena assistência técnica. A loja fica ao lado de uma padaria. Uma placa na vitrine diz "Consertos Rápidos".
"My laptop does not turn on," Finn tells the man. "I need it for class today."
"Meu notebook não liga", Finn diz ao homem. "Eu preciso dele para a aula hoje."
The man's name tag says Percy. He plugs in the laptop and waits. "Let me take a look," Percy says.
O crachá do homem diz Percy. Ele liga o notebook na tomada e espera. "Deixa eu dar uma olhada", diz Percy.
Percy opens the back of the laptop. He shines a small light inside. "Look at all this dust," he says.
Percy abre a parte de trás do notebook. Ele ilumina o interior com uma lanterna pequena. "Olha só essa poeira toda", ele diz.
"Is that the problem?" Finn asks. He feels a little worried.
"Esse é o problema?", Finn pergunta. Ele fica um pouco preocupado.
"The fan is full of dust," Percy explains. "It cannot spin. The laptop does not start."
"A ventoinha está cheia de poeira", Percy explica. "Ela não consegue girar. Por isso o notebook não liga."
Percy takes a small brush from a drawer. He cleans the fan slowly. Dust falls onto a paper towel.
Percy pega uma escovinha de uma gaveta. Ele limpa a ventoinha devagar. A poeira cai sobre um papel-toalha.
He closes the laptop and presses the power button. The screen lights up right away. Finn watches with wide eyes.
Ele fecha o notebook e aperta o botão de ligar. A tela acende na mesma hora. Finn observa de olhos arregalados.
"That's it?" Finn asks. "The fix was very quick."
"Só isso?", Finn pergunta. "O conserto foi bem rápido."
"Just a good cleaning," Percy says. "That is ten dollars."
"Só uma boa limpeza", diz Percy. "São dez dólares."
Finn pays and thanks Percy. He puts the laptop in his bag. He has time before class now.
Finn paga e agradece a Percy. Ele coloca o notebook na mochila. Agora ele tem tempo antes da aula.
He walks out of the shop quickly. His bus comes in five minutes. Finn starts a light run down the street.
Ele sai da loja depressa. O ônibus dele chega em cinco minutos. Finn começa a correr levemente pela rua.
