Nour and Tomasz both reach for the last chocolate croissant at the bakery and decide to share it.

Nour walks up to the bakery counter. She looks at the last chocolate croissant on the shelf. At the same moment, another hand reaches for it too.
Nour se aproxima do balcão da padaria. Ela olha para o último croissant de chocolate na prateleira. No mesmo instante, outra mão também se estende para pegá-lo.
"Oh, sorry," the man says, and pulls his hand back. "You go ahead."
"Ah, desculpa", diz o homem, e recolhe a mão. "Pode ficar com ele."
"No, please," Nour says. "You were here first."
"Não, por favor", diz Nour. "Você chegou primeiro."
They both step back and look at each other.
Os dois dão um passo para trás e se olham.
"Let's split it," the man says. "I'm Tomasz."
"Vamos dividir", diz o homem. "Eu sou o Tomasz."
"Nour," she says. "That sounds fair."
"Nour", diz ela. "Parece justo."
The woman behind the counter smiles and cuts the croissant in half. She wraps each piece and hands them over the counter.
A mulher atrás do balcão sorri e corta o croissant ao meio. Ela embrulha cada pedaço e entrega pelo balcão.
Nour and Tomasz sit down at a small table near the window. Each holds half a croissant and a cup of coffee.
Nour e Tomasz se sentam a uma mesinha perto da janela. Cada um segura metade do croissant e uma xícara de café.
"I almost never come here this early," Tomasz says. "I had an early meeting today."
"Quase nunca venho aqui tão cedo", diz Tomasz. "Hoje eu tinha uma reunião de manhã cedo."
"I usually come at noon," Nour says. "Today I woke up early for no reason."
"Eu costumo vir ao meio-dia", diz Nour. "Hoje acordei cedo sem motivo nenhum."
They talk about the bakery's other pastries. They agree the chocolate croissant always sells out fast.
Eles conversam sobre os outros doces da padaria. Concordam que o croissant de chocolate sempre esgota rápido.
"Next time, I'll come early and buy two," Tomasz says.
"Da próxima vez, eu venho cedo e compro dois", diz Tomasz.
"Or we can just share again," Nour says with a smile.
"Ou a gente pode simplesmente dividir de novo", diz Nour com um sorriso.
They finish their coffee. Tomasz asks for her number before they leave for work.
Eles terminam o café. Tomasz pede o número dela antes de saírem para o trabalho.
