Asking for Directions

Leo is on vacation in a new city. He is fifteen years old. Today he wants to see the old museum.

लियो एक नए शहर में छुट्टियाँ मना रहा है। वह पंद्रह साल का है। आज वह पुराना संग्रहालय देखना चाहता है।

Leo has a map. But it is hard to read. He does not know the way.

लियो के पास एक नक्शा है। लेकिन उसे पढ़ना मुश्किल है। उसे रास्ता नहीं पता।

He sees a woman near a shop. She has a friendly face. Leo decides to ask her for help.

वह एक दुकान के पास एक औरत को देखता है। उसका चेहरा दोस्ताना है। लियो उससे मदद माँगने का फ़ैसला करता है।

"Excuse me," Leo says. "Can you help me, please?"

"माफ़ कीजिए," लियो कहता है। "क्या आप मेरी मदद करेंगी, प्लीज़?"

"Of course," the woman says. "What do you need?"

"बिल्कुल," औरत कहती है। "आपको क्या चाहिए?"

"I want to find the old museum," Leo says. "I don't know the way."

"मुझे पुराना संग्रहालय ढूँढ़ना है," लियो कहता है। "मुझे रास्ता नहीं पता।"

The woman smiles. "It's not far," she says. "Walk straight down this street."

औरत मुस्कुराती है। "वह ज़्यादा दूर नहीं है," वह कहती है। "इस सड़क पर सीधे चलते जाओ।"

"Then turn left at the big clock," she says. "The museum is on the right."

"फिर बड़ी घड़ी के पास बाएँ मुड़ जाना," वह कहती है। "संग्रहालय दाईं तरफ़ है।"

"Thank you so much!" Leo says.

"आपका बहुत-बहुत शुक्रिया!" लियो कहता है।

"You're welcome. Have a nice day!" the woman says.

"कोई बात नहीं। आपका दिन अच्छा रहे!" औरत कहती है।

Leo walks straight down the street. He counts the shops. He watches the street carefully.

लियो सड़क पर सीधा चलता है। वह दुकानें गिनता है। वह सड़क को ध्यान से देखता रहता है।

Soon, he sees the clock. He turns left. He walks a little more.

जल्दी ही उसे घड़ी दिख जाती है। वह बाएँ मुड़ता है। वह थोड़ा और चलता है।

There it is! The old museum stands in front of him. Leo feels very happy.

वह रहा! पुराना संग्रहालय उसके सामने खड़ा है। लियो बहुत ख़ुश होता है।

He walks inside. He looks around the room. He is happy to visit the new city.

वह अंदर जाता है। वह कमरे में चारों ओर देखता है। उसे इस नए शहर में घूमकर बहुत ख़ुशी हो रही है।
