Asking for Directions

Leo is on vacation in a new city. He is fifteen years old. Today he wants to see the old museum.

Leo está de vacaciones en una ciudad nueva. Tiene quince años. Hoy quiere ver el museo antiguo.

Leo has a map. But it is hard to read. He does not know the way.

Leo tiene un mapa. Pero es difícil de leer. No sabe el camino.

He sees a woman near a shop. She has a friendly face. Leo decides to ask her for help.

Ve a una mujer cerca de una tienda. Tiene una cara amigable. Leo decide pedirle ayuda.

"Excuse me," Leo says. "Can you help me, please?"

«Disculpe», dice Leo. «¿Puede ayudarme, por favor?».

"Of course," the woman says. "What do you need?"

«Claro», dice la mujer. «¿Qué necesitas?».

"I want to find the old museum," Leo says. "I don't know the way."

«Quiero encontrar el museo antiguo», dice Leo. «No sé el camino».

The woman smiles. "It's not far," she says. "Walk straight down this street."

La mujer sonríe. «No está lejos», dice. «Camina derecho por esta calle».

"Then turn left at the big clock," she says. "The museum is on the right."

«Luego da vuelta a la izquierda en el reloj grande», dice. «El museo está a la derecha».

"Thank you so much!" Leo says.

«¡Muchas gracias!», dice Leo.

"You're welcome. Have a nice day!" the woman says.

«De nada. ¡Que tengas un buen día!», dice la mujer.

Leo walks straight down the street. He counts the shops. He watches the street carefully.

Leo camina derecho por la calle. Cuenta las tiendas. Observa la calle con cuidado.

Soon, he sees the clock. He turns left. He walks a little more.

Pronto, ve el reloj. Da vuelta a la izquierda. Camina un poco más.

There it is! The old museum stands in front of him. Leo feels very happy.

¡Ahí está! El museo antiguo se encuentra frente a él. Leo se siente muy feliz.

He walks inside. He looks around the room. He is happy to visit the new city.

Entra. Mira alrededor de la sala. Está feliz de visitar la ciudad nueva.
