Zoe and her friend Mila want a weekend trip. They look at a big map. They have two good choices.
Zoe y su amiga Mila quieren un viaje de fin de semana. Miran un mapa grande. Tienen dos buenas opciones.
The first choice is a small beach town. The bus ride takes two hours. They can swim and eat fish tacos.
La primera opción es un pequeño pueblo de playa. El viaje en autobús toma dos horas. Pueden nadar y comer tacos de pescado.
The second choice is a lake cabin. The drive takes three hours. They can rent bikes and see mountains.
La segunda opción es una cabaña en el lago. El viaje en auto toma tres horas. Pueden rentar bicicletas y ver montañas.
Zoe likes both places. Mila likes both places too. They talk for a long time.

"The beach is closer," Zoe says. "We can leave early and come home early."

They both laugh. Zoe writes the beach town on a card.

"Let's go to the beach this time," she says. "We can visit the lake cabin next month."

Mila nods and smiles. "Sounds like a plan!"

They pack their bags that night. Zoe puts sunscreen and a hat in her bag. Mila packs a book and her camera.
Empacan sus maletas esa noche. Zoe pone bloqueador solar y un sombrero en su bolsa. Mila empaca un libro y su cámara.
On Saturday morning, they get on the bus. The bus is warm and full of people.
El sábado por la mañana, suben al autobús. El autobús está caliente y lleno de gente.
Zoe looks out the window and smiles. "Two hours to go," she says. "I can't wait."
Zoe mira por la ventana y sonríe. «Dos horas más», dice. «No puedo esperar».
