Mia is sixteen years old. Today is her first day at a new job. She works at a small office after school.
Mia tiene dieciséis años. Hoy es su primer día en un nuevo trabajo. Trabaja en una oficina pequeña después de clases.
Mia wakes up early. She puts on her new shirt. She feels nervous and excited.
Mia se despierta temprano. Se pone su camisa nueva. Se siente nerviosa y emocionada.
Her mom drives her to the office. The building is tall and gray. Mia opens the door.
Su mamá la lleva a la oficina en auto. El edificio es alto y gris. Mia abre la puerta.
A man smiles at her. "Are you Mia?" he asks. "Yes, that's me," she says.
Un hombre le sonríe. «¿Eres Mia?», le pregunta. «Sí, soy yo», dice ella.
"I'm Mr. Lopez. I am your manager," he says. "Welcome to the team."

Mr. Lopez walks with Mia through the office. He shows her the desks. He shows her the kitchen.

Mia meets three other workers. They are friendly. They say hello with big smiles.

Mia sits down. She looks at her new computer. She feels proud.

At lunch, Mia eats with the other workers. They ask her questions. They laugh together.

The day is busy and short. Mia learns many new things. She helps with small tasks.
