First Day at the Office

Mia is sixteen years old. Today is her first day at a new job. She works at a small office after school.

Mia berumur enam belas tahun. Hari ini hari pertamanya di pekerjaan baru. Ia bekerja di sebuah kantor kecil sepulang sekolah.

Mia wakes up early. She puts on her new shirt. She feels nervous and excited.

Mia bangun pagi-pagi. Ia mengenakan kemeja barunya. Ia merasa gugup dan bersemangat.

Her mom drives her to the office. The building is tall and gray. Mia opens the door.

Ibunya mengantarnya ke kantor dengan mobil. Gedungnya tinggi dan berwarna abu-abu. Mia membuka pintu.

A man smiles at her. "Are you Mia?" he asks. "Yes, that's me," she says.

Seorang pria tersenyum kepadanya. "Apakah kamu Mia?" tanyanya. "Ya, benar," jawabnya.

"I'm Mr. Lopez. I am your manager," he says. "Welcome to the team."

"Saya Pak Lopez. Saya manajermu," katanya. "Selamat datang di tim kami."

Mr. Lopez walks with Mia through the office. He shows her the desks. He shows her the kitchen.

Pak Lopez berjalan bersama Mia keliling kantor. Ia menunjukkan meja-meja kerja. Ia menunjukkan dapur.

Mia meets three other workers. They are friendly. They say hello with big smiles.

Mia berkenalan dengan tiga pekerja lain. Mereka ramah. Mereka menyapa dengan senyum lebar.

Mr. Lopez gives Mia a small desk. He gives her a computer too. "This is your desk now," he says.

Pak Lopez memberi Mia sebuah meja kecil. Ia juga memberinya sebuah komputer. "Ini mejamu sekarang," katanya.

Mia sits down. She looks at her new computer. She feels proud.

Mia duduk. Ia memandangi komputer barunya. Ia merasa bangga.

At lunch, Mia eats with the other workers. They ask her questions. They laugh together.

Saat makan siang, Mia makan bersama para pekerja lain. Mereka menanyainya berbagai hal. Mereka tertawa bersama.

The day is busy and short. Mia learns many new things. She helps with small tasks.

Harinya sibuk dan terasa singkat. Mia belajar banyak hal baru. Ia membantu mengerjakan tugas-tugas kecil.

At five o'clock, the day ends. Mia says goodbye to everyone. "See you tomorrow!" she says.

Pukul lima, hari kerja berakhir. Mia berpamitan kepada semua orang. "Sampai jumpa besok!" katanya.

Mia walks outside. The sun is warm. She smiles. She walks home.

Mia berjalan keluar. Mataharinya hangat. Ia tersenyum. Ia berjalan pulang.
