Meera sits down at her desk before class. A small folded note sits on top of her books. She opens it slowly.
Meera se sienta en su escritorio antes de la clase. Una pequeña nota doblada está sobre sus libros. La abre despacio.
The note says, "This notebook is not mine. Please find its real owner." A blue notebook sits next to the note.
La nota dice: «Este cuaderno no es mío. Por favor, encuentra a su verdadero dueño». Un cuaderno azul está junto a la nota.
Meera opens the notebook and looks inside. She sees neat handwriting and math homework. A name is missing from the cover.
Meera abre el cuaderno y mira dentro. Ve una letra clara y tarea de matemáticas. Falta un nombre en la portada.
She flips to the last page. A schedule is taped inside the back cover. It lists a name: Colin.

Meera does not know Colin well. She asks around during morning break. A few classmates point toward the science room.
Meera no conoce muy bien a Colin. Pregunta por ahí durante el receso de la mañana. Algunos compañeros señalan hacia el salón de ciencias.
She finds Colin at his desk. "Is this your notebook?" she asks. She holds it up for him to see.
Encuentra a Colin en su escritorio. «¿Este es tu cuaderno?», pregunta ella. Lo levanta para que él lo vea.
Colin looks surprised. "I lost that yesterday," he says. "I looked everywhere for it."
Colin se sorprende. «Lo perdí ayer», dice. «Lo busqué por todas partes».
"Someone left it with a note," Meera says. "I don't know that person."
«Alguien lo dejó con una nota», dice Meera. «No conozco a esa persona».
Colin takes the notebook carefully. "Thank you very much," he says. "This has all my notes for the test."
Colin toma el cuaderno con cuidado. «Muchas gracias», dice. «Aquí están todos mis apuntes para el examen».
Meera smiles and walks to her next class. She still wonders about the mystery note.
