Arturo's class has a sleepover at the natural history museum. They put their sleeping bags on the floor of the dinosaur hall. The teacher turns off the main lights at ten.
阿图罗的班级在自然历史博物馆里过夜。他们把睡袋铺在恐龙大厅的地板上。十点钟，老师关掉了主灯。
"Go to sleep now," she says. "Tomorrow we have an early tour."
“现在睡觉吧，”她说，“明天我们要早起参观。”
Arturo cannot sleep. He looks at the ceiling for an hour. The floor is hard, and the room is very big. The giant dinosaur skeleton makes a long shadow on the wall.
阿图罗睡不着。他盯着天花板看了一个小时。地板很硬，房间又特别大。巨大的恐龙骨架在墙上投下一道长长的影子。
At midnight, he hears a noise. It is loud, low and rough. It sounds like a big animal. It comes from the far end of the hall, near the dinosaur.
午夜时分，他听到了一个声音。那声音又响又低又粗，听起来像一头大动物，是从大厅尽头、恐龙附近传来的。
Arturo sits up. His heart beats fast. He touches the arm of his friend Mirko.
阿图罗坐了起来，心怦怦直跳。他碰了碰朋友米尔科的胳膊。
"Do you hear that?" he whispers.
“你听到了吗？”他小声问。
Mirko listens. "Is it the dinosaur?"
米尔科听了听。“是恐龙吗？”
"Dinosaurs are dead," Arturo says. "I think."
“恐龙早就死了，”阿图罗说，“我想是吧。”
They take a flashlight and walk slowly between the sleeping bags. They pass the glass cases and the old bones. The noise gets louder with every step.
他们拿起一支手电筒，在睡袋之间慢慢地走。他们经过了玻璃展柜和古老的骨头。每走一步，那声音就大一点。
Arturo points the light at the dinosaur's tail. Under it, there is a wooden bench. Their teacher lies on it with her coat over her legs. Her mouth is open. She snores like a big, tired animal.
阿图罗把光照向恐龙的尾巴。尾巴下面有一条木长椅，他们的老师正躺在上面，外套盖在腿上，嘴巴张着，像一头疲惫的大动物一样打着呼噜。
The boys put their hands over their mouths. They try not to laugh.
男孩们用手捂住嘴，努力不笑出声来。
"Good night, dinosaur," Mirko whispers.
“晚安，恐龙，”米尔科小声说。
