Ingrid and Cass are best friends. They usually text every day after school.
इंग्रिड और कैस पक्की सहेलियाँ हैं। वे आमतौर पर स्कूल के बाद रोज़ मैसेज करती हैं।
This week, Cass doesn't answer any of Ingrid's messages. Ingrid starts to worry.
इस हफ़्ते कैस इंग्रिड के किसी भी मैसेज का जवाब नहीं देती। इंग्रिड को चिंता होने लगती है।
"Did I do something wrong?" Ingrid asks herself. She thinks back over their last conversation.

On Wednesday, Ingrid sees Cass in the hallway. Cass walks by without saying hello.

Ingrid feels hurt. She decides to ask Cass directly instead of guessing.
इंग्रिड को बुरा लगता है। वह अंदाज़े लगाने के बजाय सीधे कैस से पूछने का फ़ैसला करती है।
After school, Ingrid finds Cass at her locker. "Are you mad at me?" Ingrid asks quietly.
स्कूल के बाद इंग्रिड को कैस उसके लॉकर के पास मिलती है। "क्या तुम मुझसे नाराज़ हो?" इंग्रिड धीरे से पूछती है।
Cass looks surprised. "No, not at all," she says. "Why do you think that?"
कैस हैरान दिखती है। "नहीं, बिल्कुल नहीं," वह कहती है। "तुम्हें ऐसा क्यों लगा?"
"You stopped answering my texts," Ingrid says. "And you walked past me without saying hi."
"तुमने मेरे मैसेज का जवाब देना बंद कर दिया," इंग्रिड कहती है। "और तुम बिना हाय कहे मेरे पास से निकल गईं।"
Cass sighs. "My phone broke on Monday," she says. "I didn't even see you in the hallway. I'm sorry."
कैस आह भरती है। "सोमवार को मेरा फ़ोन टूट गया था," वह कहती है। "मैंने तो तुम्हें गलियारे में देखा ही नहीं। मुझे माफ़ करना।"
"Oh," Ingrid says. "I thought it was something I did."
"ओह," इंग्रिड कहती है। "मुझे लगा कि यह मेरी किसी बात की वजह से है।"
"Never," Cass says. "It's still broken. My mom is going to buy a new one this weekend."
"कभी नहीं," कैस कहती है। "वह अभी भी टूटा हुआ है। मेरी मम्मी इस वीकेंड नया फ़ोन ख़रीदने वाली हैं।"
Ingrid laughs with relief. "I'm glad it's nothing bad," she says.
इंग्रिड राहत से हँस पड़ती है। "मुझे ख़ुशी है कि कोई बुरी बात नहीं है," वह कहती है।
"Me too," Cass says. "Now, let's talk in person until I get my phone back." They walk to the bus stop together and talk the whole way.
"मुझे भी," कैस कहती है। "चलो, जब तक मुझे मेरा फ़ोन वापस नहीं मिलता, हम आमने-सामने बात कर लिया करेंगे।" वे साथ-साथ बस स्टॉप तक जाती हैं और पूरे रास्ते बातें करती रहती हैं।
