Reza stood in the long line at border control. He just landed after a long flight.
雷扎站在边检处的长队里。他刚刚结束长途飞行，落地不久。
He reached into his jacket for his passport. His hand found nothing but a pen.
他伸手到外套里去拿护照，手里摸到的只有一支笔。
Reza checked his other pocket, then his bag. He did not find the passport anywhere.
雷扎又查了另一个口袋，接着翻了包。哪儿都没有护照。
The line behind him grew every minute. An officer waved him toward an empty desk.
他身后的队伍越来越长。一位官员招手让他去一个空着的窗口。
"Passport, please," the officer said.
“请出示护照。”官员说。
"I can't find it," Reza said quietly.
“我找不到了。”雷扎小声说。
He put his bag down and opened it fully. He searched through papers, snacks, and a phone charger.
他把包放下，完全打开。他在文件、零食和手机充电器中翻找。
Deep in a side pocket, his fingers touched paper. He pulled out his passport, folded inside a map.
在一个侧袋的深处，他的手指碰到了一张纸。他拿出了护照，它被折在一张地图里。
"Here it is," Reza said.
“找到了。”雷扎说。
The officer looked at the passport and stamped it. "Welcome," the officer said, and smiled.
官员看了看护照，盖上了章。“欢迎。”官员微笑着说。
Reza zipped his bag shut and picked it up. He walked through the gate and into the terminal. He put the passport in his front pocket this time.
雷扎拉上包的拉链，把包拿起来。他走过闸门，进入航站楼。这一次，他把护照放进了前面的口袋。
