Anton stands at the front of his classroom. Today is his big presentation day. He plugs in the projector and waits.
安东站在教室前面。今天是他做重要展示的日子。他接上投影仪的电源，等着。
He practiced his presentation at home last night. His little sister listened and clapped for him. He felt ready for the big day.
昨晚他在家练习过展示。他的妹妹听了，还为他鼓掌。他觉得自己为这个重要的日子做好了准备。
The screen stays black. He tries the cable again. Nothing happens.
屏幕一直是黑的。他又试了一次连接线。什么反应也没有。
His teacher checks the projector too. "It's broken," she says. "Sorry, Anton."
他的老师也检查了投影仪。“它坏了。”她说。“对不起，安东。”
Anton looks at his notes. He has ten slides about ocean animals. He takes a deep breath.
安东看了看他的笔记。他有十张关于海洋动物的幻灯片。他深吸了一口气。
He picks up a marker instead. He walks to the whiteboard. He draws a simple picture of a whale.
他改拿起了一支马克笔。他走到白板前，画了一幅简单的鲸鱼图。
He writes three big facts under it. "I can still show you my project," he says.
他在下面写了三个重要的事实。“我还是可以给大家展示我的作品。”他说。
His classmates lean forward. They watch him draw a shark next. He explains each fact out loud.
同学们都往前倾着身子。接着他们看着他画了一条鲨鱼。他把每个事实大声讲了出来。
Anton finishes his last drawing right before the bell. "Great job," his teacher says. "You didn't need slides at all."
下课铃响前，安东画完了最后一幅画。“做得很好，”老师说，“你根本不需要幻灯片。”
Anton smiles and cleans the marker off his hands. He puts his notes back in his bag.
安东笑了，擦掉了手上的马克笔痕迹。他把笔记放回了书包里。
