Little Bo-Peep has lost her sheep, And can't tell where to find them; Leave them alone, and they'll come home, And bring their tails behind them.

A Pequena Bo-Peep perdeu suas ovelhas, E não sabe onde encontrá-las; Deixe-as em paz, e elas voltarão para casa, Trazendo os rabinhos atrás delas.

Little Bo-Peep fell fast asleep, And dreamt she heard them bleating; But when she awoke, she found it a joke, For still they all were fleeting.

A Pequena Bo-Peep caiu num sono profundo, E sonhou que as ouvia balindo; Mas quando acordou, viu que era brincadeira, Pois todas continuavam sumidas.

Then up she took her little crook, Determined for to find them; She found them indeed, but it made her heart bleed, For they'd left all their tails behind 'em!

Então ela pegou seu cajadinho, Decidida a encontrá-las; Encontrou-as, de fato, mas isso partiu seu coração, Pois todas tinham deixado os rabinhos para trás!

It happened one day, as Bo-Peep did stray Unto a meadow hard by— There she espied their tails, side by side, All hung on a tree to dry.

Aconteceu certo dia, quando Bo-Peep vagava Por um campo ali perto— Que ela avistou os rabinhos, lado a lado, Todos pendurados numa árvore para secar.

She heaved a sigh and wiped her eye, And over the hillocks she raced; And tried what she could, as a shepherdess should, That each tail should be properly placed.

Ela soltou um suspiro e enxugou os olhos, E correu pelas colinas afora; E tentou o que pôde, como convém a uma pastora, Para que cada rabinho fosse colocado no lugar certo.

Little Boy Blue, come, blow your horn! The sheep's in the meadow, the cow's in the corn. Where's the little boy that looks after the sheep? Under the haystack, fast asleep!

Pequeno João Azul, venha, toque sua corneta! As ovelhas estão no campo, a vaca está no milharal. Onde está o menino que cuida das ovelhas? Debaixo do palheiro, dormindo profundamente!

Rain, rain, go away, Come again another day; Little Johnny wants to play.

Chuva, chuva, vá embora, Volte outro dia; O pequeno Joãozinho quer brincar.

Little Miss Muffet Sat on a tuffet, Eating of curds and whey; There came a big spider, And sat down beside her, And frightened Miss Muffet away.

A Pequena Senhorita Muffet Sentou-se num montinho de feno, Comendo coalhada e soro de leite; Veio uma grande aranha, E sentou-se ao lado dela, E assustou a Senhorita Muffet, que fugiu correndo.

Curly-locks, Curly-locks, wilt thou be mine? Thou shalt not wash the dishes, nor yet feed the swine; But sit on a cushion, and sew a fine seam And feed upon strawberries, sugar, and cream.

Cachinhos-de-Ouro, Cachinhos-de-Ouro, queres ser minha? Não terás que lavar a louça, nem alimentar os porcos; Mas sentar numa almofada, e costurar uma bela bainha E comer morangos, açúcar e creme.

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall; All the King's horses, and all the King's men Cannot put Humpty Dumpty together again.

Humpty Dumpty sentou-se num muro, Humpty Dumpty teve uma grande queda; Todos os cavalos do Rei, e todos os homens do Rei Não conseguem consertar Humpty Dumpty de novo.

Jack and Jill went up the hill, To fetch a pail of water; Jack fell down, and broke his crown, And Jill came tumbling after.

Jack e Jill subiram a colina, Para buscar um balde de água; Jack caiu, e quebrou a cabeça, E Jill veio rolando atrás dele.

Then up Jack got and off did trot, As fast as he could caper, To old Dame Dob, who patched his nob With vinegar and brown paper.

Baa, baa, black sheep, Have you any wool? Yes, marry, have I, Three bags full;

One for my master, One for my dame, But none for the little boy Who cries in the lane.

Um para o meu patrão, Um para a minha senhora, Mas nenhum para o garotinho Que chora na alameda.
