The Wrong Size Shoes

Piper wanted new running shoes for the school team. She found a good pair on a shopping website. She picked her usual size, seven, and ordered them. The website showed a five-day delivery time. Piper waited and checked the mail every day.

पाइपर को स्कूल की टीम के लिए नए दौड़ने वाले जूते चाहिए थे। उसे एक शॉपिंग वेबसाइट पर एक अच्छी जोड़ी मिल गई। उसने अपना आम साइज़, सात, चुना और उन्हें ऑर्डर कर दिया। वेबसाइट पर डिलीवरी का समय पाँच दिन दिखा था। पाइपर इंतज़ार करती रही और हर दिन डाक देखती रही।

On the fifth day, a box arrived at her door. She opened it fast and pulled out the shoes. They were blue and white, just like the picture. Piper put one shoe on her foot. It felt much too big, and her heel slid inside.

पाँचवें दिन उसके दरवाज़े पर एक डिब्बा आया। उसने उसे जल्दी से खोला और जूते निकाले। वे नीले और सफ़ेद थे, बिल्कुल तस्वीर जैसे। पाइपर ने एक जूता अपने पैर में डाला। वह बहुत ढीला लगा, और उसकी एड़ी अंदर फिसल रही थी।

She checked the shoe box and read the label. The label said size nine, not size seven. "That's strange," Piper said. "I ordered size seven." She looked at her order on the website again. The order said size seven, so the store made a mistake.

उसने जूते के डिब्बे पर लगा लेबल देखा और पढ़ा। लेबल पर साइज़ नौ लिखा था, सात नहीं। "यह अजीब है," पाइपर ने कहा। "मैंने तो साइज़ सात ऑर्डर किया था।" उसने वेबसाइट पर अपना ऑर्डर फिर से देखा। ऑर्डर में साइज़ सात ही लिखा था, यानी दुकान से ग़लती हुई थी।

Piper wrote a message to the store's help team. She explained that the shoes were the wrong size. She asked for an exchange for the correct size. The next day, a reply arrived in her email. "We are sorry. We will send a new pair," it said.

पाइपर ने दुकान की सहायता टीम को एक संदेश लिखा। उसने समझाया कि जूते ग़लत साइज़ के हैं। उसने सही साइज़ के जूतों से बदलने को कहा। अगले दिन उसके ईमेल में जवाब आ गया। "हमें खेद है। हम आपको नई जोड़ी भेजेंगे," उसमें लिखा था।

The store also sent a free shipping label for the return. Piper put the too-big shoes back in the box. She taped the box and added the new label. She dropped the box off at the post office. A week later, a new box arrived at her door.

दुकान ने वापसी के लिए मुफ़्त शिपिंग लेबल भी भेजा। पाइपर ने बड़े जूते वापस डिब्बे में रख दिए। उसने डिब्बे पर टेप लगाया और नया लेबल चिपका दिया। वह डिब्बा डाकघर में दे आई। एक हफ़्ते बाद उसके दरवाज़े पर नया डिब्बा आया।

This time, the shoes fit perfectly. Piper laced them up and smiled at her feet. "Finally, the right size," she said, and ran outside to practice.

इस बार जूते बिल्कुल ठीक आए। पाइपर ने फ़ीते बाँधे और अपने पैरों को देखकर मुस्कुराई। "आख़िरकार सही साइज़," उसने कहा, और अभ्यास करने बाहर दौड़ गई।
