Miles finds an unsigned birthday card in his mailbox and works out it was meant for a boy down the street.

Miles checked the mailbox after school on Friday. Inside was a colorful envelope with no name on it.
शुक्रवार को स्कूल के बाद माइल्स ने मेलबॉक्स देखा। अंदर एक रंगीन लिफ़ाफ़ा था जिस पर कोई नाम नहीं लिखा था।
He opened it carefully. It was a birthday card that said, "Happy Birthday, Alex! Hope your day is great."
उसने उसे सावधानी से खोला। वह एक जन्मदिन का कार्ड था, जिस पर लिखा था, "जन्मदिन मुबारक, एलेक्स! उम्मीद है तुम्हारा दिन शानदार रहेगा।"
Miles did not know anyone named Alex. His family did not know an Alex either.

He showed the card to his mom. "This isn't for us," she said. "Maybe the mail carrier made a mistake."

Miles looked at the house numbers on the street. His house was number twenty-three.
माइल्स ने गली के मकान नंबर देखे। उसका घर तेईस नंबर था।
He noticed something. The house at number thirty-two looked almost the same from far away.
उसे कुछ दिखा। बत्तीस नंबर का घर दूर से लगभग वैसा ही दिखता था।
"Maybe it's for the house down the street," Miles said. "The numbers look similar."
"शायद यह गली के नीचे वाले घर के लिए है," माइल्स ने कहा। "नंबर मिलते-जुलते हैं।"
He walked down to number thirty-two with the card. A boy about his age opened the door.
वह कार्ड लेकर बत्तीस नंबर तक गया। दरवाज़ा उसी की उम्र के एक लड़के ने खोला।
"Are you Alex?" Miles asked. "I think your birthday card came to my house by mistake."
"क्या तुम एलेक्स हो?" माइल्स ने पूछा। "मुझे लगता है तुम्हारा जन्मदिन का कार्ड गलती से मेरे घर आ गया।"
"That's me!" the boy said with a big smile. "I looked for it all week!"

Miles handed him the card. "Happy birthday," he said.
माइल्स ने कार्ड उसके हाथ में दे दिया। "जन्मदिन मुबारक," उसने कहा।
Alex thanked him. The two boys talked for a few minutes on the porch.
एलेक्स ने उसे शुक्रिया कहा। दोनों लड़के बरामदे में कुछ देर बातें करते रहे।
