Two Campsites for the Weekend

Reza and Iris stand at the campground office. They hold a map. Two campsites are open for the weekend.

Reza e Iris están de pie en la oficina del campamento. Tienen un mapa en las manos. Hay dos sitios disponibles para el fin de semana.

"Site 4 is near the bathrooms," Reza says. "But it sits next to the road."

«El sitio 4 está cerca de los baños», dice Reza. «Pero está junto al camino».

"Site 12 is near the lake," Iris says. "It is far from the bathrooms. We need to carry our bags a long way."

«El sitio 12 está cerca del lago», dice Iris. «Está lejos de los baños. Tendríamos que cargar las bolsas un buen trecho».

They look at the map together and think about the weekend ahead.

Miran el mapa juntos y piensan en el fin de semana que les espera.

"I like the sound of the lake in the morning," Reza says.

«Me gusta el sonido del lago por la mañana», dice Reza.

"Me too," Iris says. "Let's carry our bags and take site 12."

«A mí también», dice Iris. «Carguemos las bolsas y quedémonos con el sitio 12».

They sign the papers at the office and drive to site 12. The lake sits past a row of tall trees. It looks calm and blue in the afternoon light.

Firman los papeles en la oficina y manejan hasta el sitio 12. El lago está detrás de una fila de árboles altos. Se ve tranquilo y azul bajo la luz de la tarde.

They set up their tent close to the water. That evening, they sit outside. They watch the sun go down over the lake.

Arman la tienda cerca del agua. Esa noche, se sientan afuera. Ven la puesta de sol sobre el lago.

"No bathroom next door," Iris says, "but we have this view instead."

«No hay baño al lado», dice Iris, «pero en cambio tenemos esta vista».

Reza laughs and passes her a cup of tea. "Good trade," he says.

Reza se ríe y le pasa una taza de té. «Buen trato», dice.
