Olu made sandwiches on Saturday morning. It was his second date with Kemi. He put the food in a basket. He took a blanket too.
Olu preparó sándwiches el sábado por la mañana. Era su segunda cita con Kemi. Puso la comida en una canasta. También llevó una manta.
They met at the park at noon. The sky was blue. They sat under a big tree. Kemi smiled at him. "This is nice," she said.
Se encontraron en el parque al mediodía. El cielo estaba azul. Se sentaron bajo un árbol grande. Kemi le sonrió. «Esto es muy lindo», dijo.
Olu opened the basket. He had cheese sandwiches and two apples. He also had a bottle of juice. Kemi took a sandwich and ate it. "It is very good," she said.

Then a drop fell on his hand. Another drop fell on the blanket. Dark clouds came over the park.

The rain came fast. "Run!" Kemi said. They took the basket and the blanket. They ran to Olu's car. Both of them were wet. They laughed all the way.

They sat in the car and shut the doors. Olu gave Kemi her sandwich again. The rain hit the roof. It sounded like small drums.

They ate and listened. The park was grey outside. Kemi looked at the window for a long time.

"Is this a bad date?" Olu asked.
«¿Es una mala cita?», preguntó Olu.
Kemi bit her sandwich and smiled. "No," she said. "Best picnic ever. Same car next week?"
Kemi mordió su sándwich y sonrió. «No», dijo. «El mejor picnic de mi vida. ¿El mismo carro la próxima semana?»
