On Saturday morning, Rafa took his dog to the park. The dog was small and brown. His name was Biscuit.
El sábado por la mañana, Rafa llevó a su perro al parque. El perro era pequeño y marrón. Se llamaba Biscuit.
The sun was warm, and the park was full. Rafa threw a ball. Biscuit ran after it.
El sol estaba cálido y el parque estaba lleno. Rafa lanzó una pelota. Biscuit corrió tras ella.
Then Rafa looked at the gate. "Biscuit! Come here!" he called.
Luego Rafa miró hacia la entrada. «¡Biscuit! ¡Ven aquí!», llamó.
Two dogs ran to him. One was his small brown dog. The other was a big white dog.
Dos perros corrieron hacia él. Uno era su perro pequeño y marrón. El otro era un perro grande y blanco.
Rafa stood still. "That is not my dog," he thought. A woman ran to them. "Sorry!" she said. "My dog loves to meet new people."
Rafa se quedó quieto. «Ese no es mi perro», pensó. Una mujer corrió hacia ellos. «¡Perdón!», dijo. «A mi perro le encanta conocer gente nueva.»
"What is his name?" Rafa asked.
«¿Cómo se llama?», preguntó Rafa.
"Biscuit," she said.
«Biscuit», dijo ella.
Rafa laughed. "My dog is Biscuit, too!" The woman laughed with him. Her name was Effie. They sat on a bench. The two dogs played in the grass.
Rafa se rió. «¡Mi perro también es Biscuit!» La mujer se rió con él. Se llamaba Effie. Se sentaron en una banca. Los dos perros jugaban en el pasto.
They talked about dogs, food, and work. Once, Rafa called "Biscuit!" and both dogs looked up. They laughed again. The time went fast.
Hablaron de perros, de comida y de trabajo. Una vez, Rafa llamó «¡Biscuit!» y los dos perros levantaron la cabeza. Se rieron otra vez. El tiempo pasó rápido.
At noon, Effie stood up. "Do you come here every Saturday?" she asked.
Al mediodía, Effie se levantó. «¿Vienes aquí todos los sábados?», preguntó.
"Now I do," Rafa said. "Same time next week?"
«Ahora sí», dijo Rafa. «¿A la misma hora la próxima semana?»
"Yes," she said. "I bring Biscuit."
«Sí», dijo ella. «Traigo a Biscuit.»
"I bring Biscuit, too," Rafa said.
«Yo también traigo a Biscuit», dijo Rafa.
