It is lunchtime at school. Bodil sits at a long table with her friends. She opens her bag and takes out a cheese sandwich.
学校的午餐时间到了。博迪尔和朋友们坐在一张长桌旁。她打开书包，拿出一块奶酪三明治。
One of her teeth is loose. It moves when she touches it. Bodil does not like it.
她有一颗牙松了。一碰它就会动。博迪尔不喜欢这样。
She takes a big bite of the sandwich. Something is hard. She stops and puts her hand on her mouth.
她大大地咬了一口三明治。嘴里有个硬东西。她停下来，用手捂住嘴。
The tooth is gone! It is somewhere in the bread. Bodil looks at the sandwich. She cannot see the tooth anywhere.
牙不见了！它一定在面包里的某个地方。博迪尔看着三明治，却怎么也看不到那颗牙。
"My tooth is in my sandwich!" she says. Her friends stop eating and look at her.
“我的牙掉进三明治里了！”她说。朋友们停下筷子，看着她。
"Where is it?" asks a boy. "I can help you look."
“它在哪儿？”一个男孩问，“我可以帮你找。”
They open the bread. They look in the cheese. A girl takes the lettuce out and checks every leaf. Bodil looks at the table and the floor.
他们掰开面包，翻看奶酪。一个女孩把生菜拿出来，一片一片地检查。博迪尔看着桌子和地板。
"I do not see it," says the girl.
“我没看到。”女孩说。
"Wait," says Bodil. She looks at the last bite of bread. There it is, small and white, in the soft part.
“等一下。”博迪尔说。她看了看最后一口面包。它在那儿！又小又白，嵌在松软的地方。
She takes it out. She wraps it in a clean napkin. She puts it in her bag. "Now I can eat my lunch," she says.
她把牙取出来，用一张干净的餐巾纸包好，放进书包里。“现在我可以吃午饭了。”她说。
