Yusra planned a garage sale before her move to a new apartment. She set up tables in her driveway early Saturday morning. Boxes of old dishes, books, and clothes covered every table.
Yusra planejou uma venda de garagem antes da mudança para o novo apartamento. Ela montou mesas na entrada de carros cedo no sábado de manhã. Caixas de pratos, livros e roupas antigas cobriam todas as mesas.
Among the boxes, Yusra found her grandmother's teapot. It was white with small blue flowers painted on the side. She almost put it in a box for sale.
Entre as caixas, Yusra encontrou o bule da avó dela. Era branco, com pequenas flores azuis pintadas na lateral. Ela quase colocou o bule numa caixa para vender.
By noon, many people walked through the sale. One woman picked up the teapot and looked at it carefully. "How much for this teapot?" she asked. "It's lovely."
Ao meio-dia, muitas pessoas passavam pela venda. Uma mulher pegou o bule e olhou com atenção. "Quanto custa esse bule?" ela perguntou. "É lindo."
Yusra paused before answering. She thought about her grandmother's kitchen and all those Sunday visits.
Yusra fez uma pausa antes de responder. Ela pensou na cozinha da avó e em todas aquelas visitas de domingo.
"I'm sorry," Yusra said. "That one isn't for sale after all." The woman smiled and picked up a different teapot instead.
"Desculpa", disse Yusra. "Esse aqui, no final das contas, não está à venda." A mulher sorriu e pegou outro bule no lugar.
Yusra carried her grandmother's teapot back inside the house. She wrapped it carefully in a towel. That evening, she placed the wrapped teapot in a special box.
Yusra levou o bule da avó de volta para dentro de casa. Ela o embrulhou com cuidado numa toalha. Naquela noite, ela colocou o bule embrulhado numa caixa especial.
