The Campsite or the Cabin

Xander and Nasrin drive to the lake for the weekend. They stop at the entrance and look at the map.

Xander dan Nasrin berkendara ke danau untuk akhir pekan. Mereka berhenti di pintu masuk dan melihat peta.

"We can camp by the water," Xander says. "Or we can rent a cabin," he says.

"Kita bisa berkemah di tepi air," kata Xander. "Atau kita bisa menyewa pondok," katanya.

"The campsite is a good price," Nasrin says.

"Harga tempat berkemahnya bagus," kata Nasrin.

"But rain comes tonight," Xander says, and checks his phone.

"Tapi malam ini akan hujan," kata Xander sambil memeriksa ponselnya.

Nasrin looks up at the gray clouds above the trees. "A cabin sounds dry and warm," she says.

Nasrin menengadah melihat awan kelabu di atas pepohonan. "Pondok kedengarannya kering dan hangat," katanya.

"Let's just get the cabin this time," Xander says.

"Ya sudah, kali ini kita ambil pondok saja," kata Xander.

They drive to the small row of wooden cabins. The owner gives them a key for cabin four. Inside, there is a bed, a stove, and a window.

Mereka berkendara ke deretan kecil pondok kayu. Pemiliknya memberi mereka kunci pondok nomor empat. Di dalamnya ada tempat tidur, kompor, dan jendela.

Rain starts to fall. They light the stove right away. They sit by the window and watch the drops fall.

Hujan mulai turun. Mereka langsung menyalakan kompor. Mereka duduk di dekat jendela dan memandangi tetesan hujan yang jatuh.

Nasrin makes tea on the little stove. Xander opens a bag of cards for a game.

Nasrin membuat teh di kompor kecil itu. Xander membuka sekantong kartu untuk bermain.

Outside, the campsite tents sit empty in the storm.

Di luar, tenda-tenda di tempat berkemah kosong di tengah badai.

"We made the right choice," Nasrin says, and laughs. They play cards and listen to the rain all night.

"Kita memilih dengan benar," kata Nasrin, lalu tertawa. Mereka bermain kartu dan mendengarkan hujan sepanjang malam.
