Planning the Anniversary Trip

Amara and Lior weigh a mountain cabin against a beach hotel for their anniversary trip and let the weather decide.
Amara and Lior's anniversary is next month. They want to take a short trip together.
They sit at the kitchen table with a map and two brochures. "We have two good choices," Lior says.
The first choice is a cabin near the mountains. It has a fireplace and a quiet lake nearby.
The second choice is a small hotel by the beach. It has a pool and a restaurant with local food.
"I like the mountains," Amara says. "We can hike and relax by the fire at night."
"I like the beach," Lior says. "We can swim and eat fresh fish every day."
They talk about both trips for a long time. Neither one wants to choose for the other.
"Let's pick based on the weather," Amara says. "What does the forecast say for next month?"
Lior checks his phone. "Rain in the mountains, sun at the beach," he says.
"Then it's easy," Amara says with a laugh. "The beach it is."
Lior books the small hotel that night. "We'll do the mountains next year," he says. "I promise."
Amara kisses his cheek. "Deal," she says. They start making a list of things to pack for the beach.
