Hazel usually keeps her backpack very organized. Tonight, her chemistry book was simply not there. She felt a little worried at first.
黑兹尔平时总是把书包整理得很整齐。今晚，她的化学课本却不见了。一开始她有点担心。
Hazel forgot her chemistry textbook at home. Her test was the next morning. She needed to study that night.
黑兹尔把化学课本忘在家里了。她明天早上有考试，今晚必须复习。
She called her classmate Delphine. "Can I borrow your textbook?" she asked. "I need it just for tonight."
她给同学德尔芬打了电话。“我能借你的课本吗？”她问，“我只用一晚上。”
Delphine agreed but had one condition. "I need it back by eight," she said. "I also have an early test."
德尔芬答应了，但有一个条件。“八点前要还给我，”她说，“我也有一场早上的考试。”
Hazel rode her bike to Delphine's house. She picked up the heavy textbook. She thanked Delphine and rode straight home.
黑兹尔骑自行车去了德尔芬家。她拿起那本沉甸甸的课本，谢过德尔芬，直接骑车回家。
She studied for three hours that night. She wrote notes on every important page. She packed the textbook in her bag.
那天晚上她复习了三个小时。她在每一页重要的地方都做了笔记，然后把课本放进了书包。
The next morning, she woke up early. She rode to school before the first bell. She found Delphine by the lockers.
第二天早上，她起得很早，在第一遍铃响前就骑车到了学校。她在储物柜旁找到了德尔芬。
"Here's your book," Hazel said. "Thank you very much for this." Delphine smiled and took it back quickly.

"Good luck on your test," Delphine said. Hazel walked into her classroom and smiled.
“祝你考试顺利，”德尔芬说。黑兹尔走进教室，笑了。
She sat down and opened her test booklet. She remembered every page from the night before.
