Hannah gets up late for school. Today is picture day at school.
Hannah acorda tarde para a escola. Hoje é o dia da foto na escola.
She gets dressed fast. She opens her sock drawer and grabs two socks.
Ela se veste rápido. Ela abre a gaveta de meias e pega duas meias.
She eats breakfast fast and runs to catch the bus. She sits down next to her friend Tess.
Ela toma café da manhã rápido e corre para pegar o ônibus. Ela senta ao lado da amiga Tess.
Tess looks down at Hannah's legs and laughs. "Hannah, look at your socks!"
Tess olha para as pernas de Hannah e ri. "Hannah, olha as suas meias!"
Hannah looks down too. One sock is blue. The other sock is green.
Hannah olha também. Uma meia é azul. A outra meia é verde.
"Oh no," Hannah says. "I did not see this at home."
"Ah, não", diz Hannah. "Eu não vi isso em casa."
"Pictures start at nine," Tess says. "What will you do now?"
"As fotos começam às nove", diz Tess. "O que você vai fazer agora?"
Hannah thinks for a minute. "I have gym socks in my bag," she says. "They are both white."
Hannah pensa por um minuto. "Eu tenho meias de educação física na mochila", ela diz. "As duas são brancas."
The bus stops at school. Hannah and Tess walk inside together.
O ônibus para na escola. Hannah e Tess entram juntas.
Hannah goes to the bathroom before the pictures start. She takes off the odd socks.
Hannah vai ao banheiro antes de as fotos começarem. Ela tira as meias diferentes.
She puts on the white gym socks instead. Now both socks match.

Hannah puts her old socks in her bag. She walks to the gym for her picture.

She stands in line with her class. Tess waves at her from across the room.

"Next!" calls the woman with the camera.

Hannah steps up and smiles for her picture.
