The Wrong Song at the Wedding

Niamh went to her cousin Yolanda's wedding with her whole family. The reception was in a big tent behind the farmhouse.

Niamh pergi ke pernikahan sepupunya, Yolanda, bersama seluruh keluarganya. Resepsinya diadakan di tenda besar di belakang rumah pertanian.

Niamh helped set up the sound system before the party started. She knew a lot about music apps from her own school events.

At dinner, the DJ announced the first dance. He pressed play on his laptop, but the wrong song started.

Saat makan malam, DJ mengumumkan dansa pertama. Ia menekan tombol putar di laptopnya, tetapi lagu yang salah yang mulai terdengar.

It was fast dance music. It was not the song Yolanda and Amadi chose. Guests looked at each other, confused.

Itu musik dansa yang cepat. Itu bukan lagu yang dipilih Yolanda dan Amadi. Para tamu saling memandang dengan bingung.

"That's not it," the DJ said quietly, searching through his playlist. "I don't understand. It was right here."

"Bukan ini," kata DJ itu pelan sambil mencari-cari di daftar putarnya. "Aku tidak mengerti. Tadi ada di sini."

Yolanda and her new husband, Amadi, stood frozen on the dance floor. Everyone waited with their phones ready for photos.

Yolanda dan suami barunya, Amadi, berdiri kaku di lantai dansa. Semua orang menunggu dengan ponsel siap untuk memotret.

Niamh walked up to the DJ table. "Can I take a look?" she asked.

Niamh berjalan ke meja DJ. "Boleh aku lihat?" tanyanya.

The DJ nodded and stepped aside. Niamh scanned the playlist. She found two songs with almost the same name.

DJ itu mengangguk dan bergeser ke samping. Niamh memeriksa daftar putar itu. Ia menemukan dua lagu dengan nama yang hampir sama.

"Here's the problem," she said. "This one is labeled wrong. The real song is right below it."

"Ini masalahnya," katanya. "Yang ini diberi label yang salah. Lagu yang benar ada tepat di bawahnya."

She also found the couple's song on her own phone. The DJ pressed play on the correct track this time.

Ia juga menemukan lagu pasangan itu di ponselnya sendiri. Kali ini DJ menekan tombol putar pada lagu yang benar.

The right song started, soft and slow. Yolanda and Amadi began to dance together. The crowd cheered, and nobody seemed to remember the mix-up at all.

Lagu yang tepat pun mulai terdengar, lembut dan pelan. Yolanda dan Amadi mulai berdansa bersama. Para tamu bersorak, dan tak seorang pun tampak ingat kekeliruan tadi.

"Thank you so much," the DJ whispered to Niamh. "You saved this whole moment."

"Terima kasih banyak," bisik DJ itu kepada Niamh. "Kamu menyelamatkan momen penting ini."

Niamh smiled and stepped back into the crowd. She watched her cousin dance under the string lights. Her phone was still warm in her hand.

Niamh tersenyum dan melangkah kembali ke tengah kerumunan. Ia memandangi sepupunya berdansa di bawah lampu-lampu untai. Ponselnya masih terasa hangat di tangannya.
