Renata walks through the old town square every morning. She knows every street and shop in the area. Today she sees a man near the fountain. He looks at his phone, then looks up, confused.
Renata berjalan melewati alun-alun kota tua setiap pagi.
"Excuse me," he says. "Can you help me? I can't find my hotel."
"Permisi," katanya. "Bisakah Anda membantu saya? Saya tidak bisa menemukan hotel saya."
"Of course," Renata says. "What's the name of your hotel?"
"Tentu," kata Renata. "Apa nama hotel Anda?"
"The Riverside Inn," Tobias says. "I don't know the way from here."
"The Riverside Inn," kata Tobias. "Saya tidak tahu jalan dari sini."
Renata smiles. "I know that hotel well. It's not far from here."
Renata tersenyum. "Saya tahu betul hotel itu. Letaknya tidak jauh dari sini."
"Really? I walked around for twenty minutes," Tobias says.
"Benarkah? Saya sudah berkeliling selama dua puluh menit," kata Tobias.
"This town is easy to get lost in," Renata says. "The streets turn in strange ways."
"Kota ini mudah membuat orang tersesat," kata Renata. "Jalan-jalannya berkelok-kelok aneh."
"I noticed that," Tobias says with a small laugh. "My phone map doesn't work well here."
"Saya sudah menyadarinya," kata Tobias sambil tertawa kecil. "Peta di ponsel saya tidak berfungsi dengan baik di sini."
"Come with me," Renata says. "I walk past your hotel every day."
"Ikut saya," kata Renata. "Saya lewat di depan hotel Anda setiap hari."
They walk together down a narrow street. Renata points to shops as they pass.
Mereka berjalan bersama menyusuri jalan yang sempit. Renata menunjuk toko-toko yang mereka lewati.
"That bakery makes the best bread in town," she says. "And that café has great coffee."
"Toko roti itu membuat roti terenak di kota ini," katanya. "Dan kafe itu kopinya enak sekali."
Tobias listens carefully. "You know a lot about this town."
Tobias mendengarkan dengan saksama. "Anda tahu banyak tentang kota ini."
"I grew up here," Renata says. "I know every corner of it."
"Saya tumbuh besar di sini," kata Renata. "Saya tahu setiap sudutnya."
After a few minutes, they reach a big blue building. Renata points to the door.
"There it is," she says. "The Riverside Inn."
"Itu dia," katanya. "The Riverside Inn."
Tobias looks happy. "Thank you so much. I never find my way alone in new cities."
Tobias tampak senang. "Terima kasih banyak. Saya tidak pernah bisa menemukan jalan sendiri di kota-kota baru."
"You're welcome," Renata says. "Enjoy your stay in our town."
"Sama-sama," kata Renata. "Selamat menikmati masa menginap Anda di kota kami."
"I will," Tobias says. "Maybe I'll ask you for directions again tomorrow."
"Pasti," kata Tobias. "Mungkin besok saya akan bertanya arah lagi kepada Anda."
Renata laughs. "Anytime. I'm always near this square."
Renata tertawa. "Kapan saja. Saya selalu ada di dekat alun-alun ini."
She waves and walks on toward her office.
Ia melambaikan tangan dan berjalan terus menuju kantornya.
