Oscar moved into his apartment in March. Every night, he heard a low humming sound. It came from somewhere behind the kitchen wall. At first, he thought it was the refrigerator. He checked the refrigerator, but it was quiet.
ऑस्कर मार्च में अपने अपार्टमेंट में रहने आया। हर रात उसे एक धीमी गुनगुनाहट की आवाज़ सुनाई देती थी। वह रसोई की दीवार के पीछे कहीं से आती थी। पहले उसने सोचा कि यह फ़्रिज की आवाज़ है। उसने फ़्रिज देखा, पर वह तो शांत था।
The humming came back every night at nine. One evening, Oscar decided to find the sound. He put his ear against the wall and listened. The sound seemed to move up toward the ceiling. The next morning, he knocked on his neighbor's door.
गुनगुनाहट हर रात नौ बजे लौट आती थी। एक शाम ऑस्कर ने आवाज़ का पता लगाने की ठानी। उसने दीवार से कान लगाकर सुना। आवाज़ ऊपर छत की ओर जाती हुई लगी। अगली सुबह उसने अपने पड़ोसी का दरवाज़ा खटखटाया।
A woman named Lucia opened the door and smiled. "Hi! Can I help you?" she asked. "Hi, I'm Oscar, from downstairs," he said. "I have a strange question for you." "Okay," Lucia said, and laughed a little.
