The Flat Bike Tire

Oscar rides his bike to the park. The park is far from his house. Suddenly, the back wheel feels soft. He stops and looks at the tire.

ऑस्कर अपनी साइकिल से पार्क जाता है। पार्क उसके घर से दूर है। अचानक पीछे का पहिया नरम लगने लगता है। वह रुककर टायर देखता है।

The tire is flat. Oscar checks his small bag. He has a pump but no patch.

टायर पंक्चर है। ऑस्कर अपना छोटा बैग देखता है। उसके पास पंप है, पर पैच नहीं है।

He looks up and down the street. He sees a bike shop on the corner. He pushes his bike to the shop.

वह सड़क पर इधर-उधर देखता है। उसे कोने पर साइकिल की एक दुकान दिखती है। वह अपनी साइकिल धकेलकर दुकान तक ले जाता है।

"Hi, my tire is flat," Oscar says.

"नमस्ते, मेरा टायर पंक्चर हो गया है," ऑस्कर कहता है।

"No problem," the man in the shop says. "Let me check it."

"कोई बात नहीं," दुकान वाला आदमी कहता है। "मुझे देखने दो।"

The man looks at the tire. He finds a small piece of glass. "Here is the problem," he says.

आदमी टायर को देखता है। उसे काँच का एक छोटा टुकड़ा मिलता है। "यह रही दिक़्क़त," वह कहता है।

He pulls out the glass. He puts a patch on the tire. He fills the tire with air.

वह काँच निकाल देता है। वह टायर पर पैच लगा देता है। वह टायर में हवा भर देता है।

"That should work now," he says.

"अब यह ठीक चलेगा," वह कहता है।

"Thank you so much," Oscar says. "How much do I pay?"

"बहुत-बहुत धन्यवाद," ऑस्कर कहता है। "कितने पैसे देने हैं?"

"Just five dollars," the man says.

"बस पाँच डॉलर," आदमी कहता है।

Oscar pays the man and says thanks again. He checks the tire one more time. It feels hard and strong.

ऑस्कर आदमी को पैसे देता है और फिर से धन्यवाद कहता है। वह एक बार और टायर जाँचता है। वह सख़्त और मज़बूत लगता है।

Oscar gets on his bike. He rides home under the evening sky.

ऑस्कर अपनी साइकिल पर चढ़ जाता है। वह शाम के आसमान के नीचे घर की ओर चल देता है।
