Perla landed after a short flight and grabbed her bag. She pulled a black carry-on from the overhead bin. It looked just like hers, with the same gray handle.
Perla aterrizó después de un vuelo corto y tomó su maleta. Sacó una maleta de mano negra del compartimento superior. Se veía igual a la suya, con la misma manija gris.
Perla walked off the plane and through the terminal. At the taxi line, she opened the bag. She looked for her wallet inside.
Perla bajó del avión y caminó por la terminal. En la fila de taxis, abrió la maleta. Buscó su billetera adentro.
Inside, she found a man's shirts and a book. "This isn't my bag," Perla said out loud.

She checked the tag. The name said Joaquin. Perla looked at the gate agent nearby.
Revisó la etiqueta. El nombre decía Joaquin. Perla miró al agente de la puerta que estaba cerca.
"I think I took the wrong bag," she said.
«Creo que tomé la maleta equivocada», dijo.
The agent called the airline's lost and found desk. A man ran up to the desk minutes later. "Did anyone find a black bag?" he asked.
El agente llamó al mostrador de objetos perdidos de la aerolínea. Un hombre llegó corriendo al mostrador minutos después. «¿Alguien encontró una maleta negra?», preguntó.
"That's Joaquin," the agent said, and pointed at Perla.
«Ese es Joaquin», dijo el agente, y señaló a Perla.
Perla held up the bag with a small smile. "I think this is yours," she said.
Perla levantó la maleta con una pequeña sonrisa. «Creo que esta es suya», dijo.
Joaquin checked the tag and laughed. "And this one must be yours," he said. He held up her bag.
Joaquin revisó la etiqueta y se rio. «Y esta debe ser suya», dijo. Levantó la maleta de ella.
They traded bags right there at the desk. Perla opened her own bag and found her wallet inside. Both of them checked their tags twice before leaving.
Intercambiaron las maletas ahí mismo, en el mostrador. Perla abrió su propia maleta y encontró su billetera adentro. Ambos revisaron sus etiquetas dos veces antes de irse.
