The Paint Color

Henry and Claire move into a new house. They want to paint one room. They can not agree on the color.

Henry y Claire se mudan a una casa nueva. Quieren pintar un cuarto. No logran ponerse de acuerdo sobre el color.

Henry likes a soft blue color. Claire likes a warm yellow color. They go to the paint shop together.

A Henry le gusta un color azul suave. A Claire le gusta un color amarillo cálido. Van juntos a la tienda de pinturas.

The shop has many paint cards. Henry holds up a blue card. Claire holds up a yellow card.

La tienda tiene muchas muestras de color. Henry levanta una muestra azul. Claire levanta una muestra amarilla.

"The blue is calm," Henry says. "The yellow is warm and bright," Claire says.

«El azul es tranquilo», dice Henry. «El amarillo es cálido y brillante», dice Claire.

They can not choose one color. They ask the shop worker for help. The worker shows them a green card.

Henry and Claire do not want green. They want their own colors. They look at the cards again.

Claire has an idea. "We can paint one wall blue," she says. "We can paint the other wall yellow."

Henry smiles at the idea. "That is a good plan," he says. They buy both paint cans.

They drive home with the paint cans. They open the cans in the small room. Henry paints the first wall blue.

Manejan a casa con los botes de pintura. Abren los botes en el cuarto pequeño. Henry pinta la primera pared de azul.
