The Two Hotels with the Same Name

Yolanda's taxi drops her at the wrong hotel branch, sharing a name with the one she actually booked across town.
Yolanda gets out of a taxi at a hotel. She walks inside and gives her name at the desk. The clerk, Benedikt, looks through the computer and frowns. "I don't see your booking here," he says. Yolanda shows him the email on her phone. Benedikt reads the address at the top carefully. "This is the Grand Hotel on River Street," he says. "But we are on Park Street," he says. "Two hotels, same name, different streets," he says. Yolanda laughs and shakes her head. "That explains why the driver looked confused," she says. Benedikt calls a taxi for her right away. "It's only ten minutes to Park Street," he says. Yolanda thanks him and waits outside for the taxi. The new taxi arrives and takes her across town. She sees the second Grand Hotel on the corner. This time, the clerk finds her name quickly. Yolanda checks in and rides the elevator to her room. She sends a message to her friend about the mix-up. "Two hotels, same name. Funny city," she writes.
