The ferry left the town early in the morning. Dunja stood at the front with a cup of tea. The sea was bright, and the wind was cold. She wanted a photo of this moment.
A tall man stood next to her. He had a small blue bag. She asked, "Excuse me, can you take my photo, please?"
"Of course," he said. He took her phone and stepped back. He held it up. "One, two, three!"
Dunja smiled her best smile. Then she looked at the picture. It showed the sea, the sky, and her feet. Her head was not in it.
"Oh no," the man said. His face went red. "I am so sorry. I am not good with phones."
Dunja started to laugh, and soon he laughed too. They laughed so much that a woman nearby looked at them.
"Let me try again," he said. He took ten more photos. In one, she had her eyes closed. In another, a bird sat on her shoulder. In the last one, she was perfect.
"This is the best one," she said. "Thank you. My name is Dunja."
"I am Pedro," he said.
They sat on a bench and drank their tea. They talked about his work, her town, and their favorite food. The time went fast. Then the ferry horn sounded, and the island came near.
"Do you know the way to the old town?" Pedro asked.
"No," Dunja said, "but we can find it together."
