The Extra Five Dollars

A cashier hands Dax too much change, and he has to decide what to do with it.
Dax stopped at the corner store after school. He wanted a snack before soccer practice. He picked a bag of chips and a juice.
The total came to ten dollars. He paid with a twenty-dollar bill. The cashier, Winnie, counted out his change.
She handed him fifteen dollars back. Dax put the money in his pocket. He walked outside toward his bike.
He counted his change again outside. Fifteen dollars was five dollars too much. Dax walked back into the store.
"Excuse me," Dax said to Winnie. "You gave me too much change."
Winnie looked at her register screen. "You are right," she said. "I am sorry about that."
She took back the extra five dollars. "Thank you for coming back," Winnie said. "Not many people do that."
Dax smiled and shrugged a little. "It's not my money," he said. He waved and walked out again.
He unlocked his bike by the door. He put on his backpack again. He rode off toward the soccer field.
