The Name She Forgot at the Party

Rina went to her friend's housewarming party on Saturday. Her friend's new boyfriend stood by the kitchen. Rina met him only once, months ago.

She walked over with a big smile. "It's very good to see you again, Nico!" she said loudly. The man's face went blank for a second.

"Actually, my name is Petros," he said gently. Rina's cheeks turned bright red at once. She covered her mouth with her hand.

"I am very sorry," Rina said quickly. "I mixed you up with someone else." She felt terrible about her mistake.

Petros laughed and waved a hand. "It happens all the time," he said. "Nico is my brother. We look alike."

Rina laughed too. The awkward moment passed quickly.

"Well, Petros, it's nice to meet you properly," Rina said. She held out her hand for a handshake.

Petros shook her hand warmly. "I remember names well," he said with a grin. "Let's start over. Hello, Rina."

For the rest of the party, Rina said his name. She said it often, loud and clear. She introduced him to three other guests correctly. By the end of the night, everyone knew his name.

A month later, Rina saw Petros at another party. She said his name first, loud and clear. Petros laughed and gave her a high five.
