A small delivery robot stops in front of Imani's house. It beeps twice and waits. Imani opens the door, but there is no package for her.
一个小小的送货机器人停在伊玛尼家门前。它嘀嘀响了两声，然后等着。伊玛尼开了门，可是没有她的包裹。
"That's not our robot," says Fenn, her brother. "We didn't order anything."
“这不是我们的机器人，”她的哥哥芬恩说，“我们什么都没订。”
The robot has a screen on its front. It shows an order number and a photo of a box. Imani looks again and reads the address.
机器人正面有一块屏幕，上面显示着订单号和一张箱子的照片。伊玛尼又看了看，念出了地址。
"This package is for the house on Maple Street," she says. "That's three streets away."
“这个包裹是送到枫树街那栋房子的，”她说，“离这儿有三条街呢。”
Fenn laughs. "The robot is lost."
芬恩笑了。“机器人迷路了。”
Imani finds a small phone number under the screen. She calls it, and a calm voice from the delivery company answers.
伊玛尼在屏幕下面找到一个小小的电话号码。她拨了过去，快递公司一个平静的声音接了电话。
"Our robot stopped at the wrong address," Imani says. "The screen shows Maple Street, but we live on Birch Street."
“你们的机器人停错地方了，”伊玛尼说，“屏幕上显示的是枫树街，可我们住在桦树街。”
"Thank you for calling," the voice says. "We will send new directions to the robot now."
“谢谢您来电话，”那个声音说，“我们现在就给机器人发送新的路线。”
The robot's wheels turn, and it beeps again. Then it rolls back down the path. It turns toward the street.
机器人的轮子转动起来，又嘀嘀响了一声。然后它沿着小路滚了回去，朝街上拐去。
"It's going to try again," Fenn says.
“它要再试一次了，”芬恩说。
They watch it move down the sidewalk and turn the corner. A few minutes later, Imani's phone buzzes with a message. The package reaches the right house on Maple Street.
他们看着它沿着人行道前进，拐过了街角。几分钟后，伊玛尼的手机震动了一下，收到一条消息：包裹已经送到枫树街那栋正确的房子了。
"Maybe we need a robot too," Fenn says with a grin.
“也许我们也需要一个机器人，”芬恩咧嘴笑着说。
Imani shakes her head and closes the door.
伊玛尼摇了摇头，关上了门。
